For posts, rafters, rails and brackets that will carry load — a roof, beam, bench or balustrade fixing.
Why this is a separate form. Our timber is preservative-treated (LOSP / H3) for exterior use above ground. It is not stress-graded, and turning removes the graded section — so the finished turned diameter, not the square block, is what governs. For that reason we can't sell a load-bearing piece as a stock item, and we're not able to advise on structural sizing ourselves.
What we can do is make it accurately, and give your engineer exactly what they need to check it. We manufacture to the specification you give us.
What you get back
- A quote for the piece in the size, timber and quantity you specify.
- A free profile drawing with the minimum turned diameter, section sizes and block lengths marked — the one number your engineer will ask for.
- An engineer, if you need one. Use your own, or we'll introduce you to one we've worked with. They contract and invoice you directly; we manufacture to the specification in their report.
